Vision and Mission
Vision
Our vision is for a world where people with disabilities are fully valued, embraced, respected, treated with dignity, fully included, actively engaged, and meaningfully participating in their schools, work place, and communities.
“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” Martin Luther King Jr.
Mission
Our mission is to impact the Commonwealth and advocate for education, equity, and justice. We will EDUCATE individuals and families of their rights and resources available to people with disabilities. Equality is important, but EQUITY goes a step further. We will advocate for an equitable education plan, services, and resources that are tailored to the individual, in order to ensure the same opportunities for meaningful progress and success are provided in the least restrictive environment and alongside their same aged peers, to the greatest extent possible. Lastly, we advocate for JUSTICE, which is long-term equity. We are committed to fixing educational systems and barriers, so that all children, regardless of ability level, can thrive and reach their God given potential.
